App Shortcuts - Which App Do I Need?

The KS DB Merge Tools for SQLite application includes several executable files. Some of these files are available as shortcuts in the Windows menu, and at first glance, this variety may cause confusion.

Nowadays, the overwhelming majority of computers running the Windows operating system operate on x86-64 architecture processors with a 64-bit OS. For this majority, the most suitable choice is to use the KS DB Merge Tools for SQLite (64-bit) shortcut.

However, 64-bit applications will not run on 32-bit Windows or Windows ARM; in these cases, you should use KS DB Merge Tools for SQLite (32-bit). That 32-bit application can also run on a 64-bit OS and may be the preferred option if you want to limit the application's memory consumption.

Compatibility mode shortcuts are useful if any debugger/profiler software is installed on your computer that includes the COR_ENABLE_PROFILING system environment variable. The KS DB Merge Tools for SQLite application's protection mechanism will prevent it from running in such an environment. Compatibility mode shortcuts disable the COR_ENABLE_PROFILING variable for the KS DB Merge Tools for SQLite application.

Script Editor is the addional application designed to simplify creation and troubleshooting KS DB Merge scripts for the command line utility. See Scripting help for more details.
